KBA Attends a Legal Meeting

On Saturday 29/10/2022, Lawyer Aram Gardi, Spokesperson of the Kurdistan Bar Association (KBA), represented KBA in a legal meeting organized by the Investigator Organization in collaboration with the Norwegian National Aid Organization, within the framework of the project (Strengthening the rule of law and increasing the participation of youth and women in decision-making processes in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq). In addition to the Kurdistan Bar Association, representatives of the Iraqi Bar Association, the Kurdistan and Iraqi Jurists Union, the Iraqi Association of Judicial Researchers, representatives of the Ministry of Culture and representatives of Kurdish and Iraqi civil society organizations were present.

At the beginning of the event, the representatives of the Investigator Organization, presented a brief about the project, which they have worked on in the past and will complete the project in several stages in the future and will present the results at a conference. Then they presented the results of a survey to the attendees, in which they asked several questions and showed the answers in a slideshow.

Afterwards, the representatives of civil society presented their suggestions and comments on the topic of the seminar and the representatives of associations and syndicates explained their answers and legal issues.

At the end of the meeting, the supervisors thanked the participants and told them that the comments, suggestions and answers will be included in the drafts of the project and serious work will be done on it.
